Mysterious death goes unnoticed by entire castle! Rumours have it that Lord Asim Blackwater, head of the Blackwater Family, has perished during a failed experiment! According to sources, he had been researching a new substance by the name of Blackstone, that ended up being his demise. As his son Arthur’s whereabouts have been unknown as well ever since, it is expected that his daughter, Myelle Blackwater, will take over the throne. Residents of Castle Blackwater recount having no memory of the incident whatsoever, and were not able to provide us with more detailed information.
Game Events
On Kythorn 27 1481 DR, a group of adventurers led by Myelle Blackwater journeyed to Castle Blackwater in their search for the Sacred Flame. There they found a desolate town inhabited by a zombie-like population, and a ruler on the brink of madness. They found a secret Blackstone mine underneath the castle, and uncovered that Lord Asim was planning on summoning Hermaeus Mora, a Great Old One, using the power of the stones. The party managed to put a stop to the summoning, but in the process they had to kill Asim and his son, Arthur. The population was freed from their enthrallment, and Myelle Blackwater appointed a member of the Lord’s Alliance as an interim leader.

The castle has since been taken over by Sildar Hallwinter, who got assigned to the position by the Lord’s Alliance as an interim leader.
